The security officer assigned to the door f ailed to contact the CA Mbt.
rior to leaving the area.
Instead the officer contacted the administrative sergeant to ask permission to secure the post. The administrative sergeant on duty at the time of this incident c1r ;ms that she l
directed the officer to contact the CA F g trior to reporting to her for a new assignment.
1 As a result of the investigation into this incident it was determined that the officer in question had been given all the necessary training, information, and equipment that would allow him to take the necessary action to secure the door, yet he failed to perform properly.

Corrective Action
l The security officer in question has been terminated as a result of this incident.
An awareness bulletin has been generated to reinforce the need for con =unication

A review of the function of the administrative serFeant is being conducted to
